Chris Paul's 32 pushes Clippers past Suns

Chris Paul finished with 32 points and recorded nine assists to help the Los Angeles Clippers defeat the Phoenix Suns, 120-107. The Clippers were on fire, finishing 36-68 (52.9%) from the field, including 14-29 (48.3%) from beyond the arc. Los Angeles (5-3) gets one in the win column after losing to San Antonio on Monday.

Paul went 10-13 (5-6 from three-point range) and 7-8 from the free throw line, in a quality offensive outing. Other key performers for Los Angeles were Blake Griffin with 19 points and eight rebounds, Spencer Hawes with 14 points and eight rebounds, and DeAndre Jordan with 12 points and 18 rebounds. Gerald Green had a strong performance off the bench for Phoenix in the loss, putting up 26 points on 10-19 shooting, including 4-8 from behind the arc. Alex Len added 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The Clippers combined an eFG% of 63.2% with 48.3% 3-point shooting. They are undefeated (2-0) this year when registering marks above 55% and 40% in those respective statistics. The Suns, on the other hand, are 1-2 when allowing opponents to hit those marks.

Coming up next, the Clippers take on the Chicago Bulls, who are 7-3 on the year. The Suns match up with the Boston Celtics, currently 3-5 this season.
