Chad Mendes vs. Ricardo Lamas Headlines Special UFC Fight Night Afternoon Edition
The UFC announced the headliner, plus two more bouts, during the UFC Fight Night 59: McGregor vs. Siver telecast on Sunday night on FOX Sports 1.
The co-main event of the Fairfax card features lightweights Bobby Green and Jorge Masvidal, and also includes a bout pitting Michael Chiesa vs. Mitch Clarke.

Mendes (16-2) is currently the No. 1 ranked fighter in the UFC’s 145-pound division. He is coming off of a loss to champion Jose Aldo, the only man to ever defeat him.
Ranked No. 3, Lamas (15-3) is currently 6-1 in the Octagon, having won back-to-back bouts over Hacran Dias and Dennis Bermudez as he heads into the fight with Mendes. Like Mendes, Lamas’ only loss in the UFC is to Aldo.
