Carlos Carrasco goes the distance Wednesday

Indians starter Carlos Carrasco went the distance Wednesday against the Astros.

Carrasco allowed just two hits over nine scoreless innings. He struck out 12 and walked one during the outing. Carrasco got off to an exceptional start. He put his first batter on base in the third inning via the walk, but didn’t allow a hit until the bottom of the fourth inning. He would give up his only other hit in the ninth. After a two-out single by Jose Altuve, Carrasco was able to drop a three-pitch strikeout against Dexter Fowler to end the game. Carrasco threw just 98 pitches during the outing.

With the win, Carrasco improved to 8-5. He’ll take on the Royals in his next start.
