Cards to honor Musial

The St. Louis Cardinals will wear a patch on their left sleeve to honor the memory of legendary Stan Musial, who died earlier this year.

Musial passed away Jan. 19 at age 92. The patch sports an unusual characteristic in that there is no black, only red. The design features a red border and Musial's No. 6 with Musial's signature through the number.

Musial batted .331 in a 22-year-old major-league career, all with the Cardinals. He belted 475 home runs and was a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer in 1969.
