Bruins-Penguins game moved to Saturday

The NHL announced that Friday's game between the host Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins has been tentatively scheduled to be played Saturday at TD Garden at 12:30 p.m. ET.

Boston is in lockdown as authorities search for the missing suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.

Both teams were planning to wear special patches on their sweaters to be auctioned off after the game, with all proceeds going toward assisting bombing victims.

The Penguins home game against the Buffalo Sabres, scheduled for Saturday night, has been moved to Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The bombings caused Monday's game between the Bruins and Ottawa Senators to be moved to April 28. The Stanley Cup playoffs are scheduled to start April 30. The Bruins (24-18-2) head into Friday at No. 4 in the Eastern Conference standings.
