The Denver Broncos narrowly won the AFC West over the Kansas City Chiefs in 2015. Had it not been for an epic comeback in Week 2 of last season, there’s a high probability Denver loses out on the division, home field advantage and the Super Bowl.

Kansas City, after losing six straight to the Broncos, defeated them in Week 10 of last season. It was a day where Peyton Manning set the record for most passing yards yet was also booed off the field and benched for Brock Osweiler. That sad story had a happy ending nearly three months later.

So the Broncos and Chiefs will face off in the Mile High City. Week 12. Two teams with playmakers on offense but better known for their scary pass-rushes and strong playmakers in the secondary.

Most meetings between the squads tend to be low-scoring, and there’s no reason to think otherwise. Alex Smith is great, but he has struggled against the Broncos, going 1-5 against them. The Chiefs have given Denver’s offense problems as well, namely Marcus Peters, Tamba Hali and Justin Houston.

The Broncos will need to get strong play from whoever their quarterback is in this one. Though it’s tough to choose who could win this one (it’s really a toss-up,) it’s hard to pick away from Denver. They have home advantage, losing just four times here since 2012.

Prediction: Broncos 20, Chiefs 17
