Broncos restructure Chris Kuper's contract

The Denver Broncos have restructured veteran offensive guard Chris Kuper's contract, a change that reflects his status as a backup behind Louis Vasquez following a series of ankle surgeries

Kuper's base salary dropped from $4.5 million to a guaranteed $1.05 million with an additional $1.7 million possible to be earned through playing-time incentives, according to the Denver Post.

Kuper is still sidelined with an ankle injury.

The Broncos' starting guards are Vasquez and Zane Beadles.

“Kupe and I have talked about this several times," Broncos coach John Fox said "All that matters for him right now is he gets healthy."
