Bills DST looking at rough Week 1 matchup

The Bills have a tall order ahead defensively in Week 1 when they head to Chicago to take on the Bears.

Buffalo is still a good unit overall, one that should be able to record a good number of sacks over the course of the season and perhaps deliver solid turnover statistics with two quality cornerbacks in Stephon Gilmore and Leodis McKelvin. However, the team also lost Jairus Byrd in the offseason and will be looking to replace him internally. They lost star linebacker Kiko Alonso to a season-ending injury, and they won't have Nigel Bradham in this matchup due to a suspension.

Against a mediocre offense, those concerns may not be enough to shy away from them in Fantasy leagues. However, the Bills have to face a Bears offense that ranked eighth in the league in yardage and second in total points last season. The Bears retain all of their elite playmakers from last year, and while the team's cornerbacks may be able to have success bottling up big-play threat Alshon Jeffery, they likely won't have an answer for Brandon Marshall, Matt Forte and Martellus Bennett.

There will be weeks worth starting the Bills defense, but this is not one of them.
