Bills Beaten by Chargers, 22-10
The Bills were held in check by the Chargers, 22-10, at home.
E.J. Manuel completed 23 of 39 passes for 238 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Philip Rivers ended up going 18 of 25 with 256 yards passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions for the Chargers.
Fred Jackson was a standout player for the Bills, rushing for 34 yards on six attempts in addition to eight receptions for 78 yards and a score. Scott Chandler snagged five balls for 74 yards.
The Buffalo defense allowed 85 yards rushing and 256 passing. They got to Rivers once for a sack.
Chargers wide receiver Eddie Royal was impressive, racking up 42 receiving yards and two touchdowns. After Rivers, he was the top performer for San Diego. Wide receiver Malcom Floyd was also solid with 98 receiving yards.
Next week, the Bills head to Houston to face the Texans (2-1) while the Chargers host the Jaguars (0-3).
