Big Board: Hockey

Big Boards: Football | Baseball | Basketball | Hockey

The Big Board takes into consideration past returns, current performance and expected future gains in determining who should be included among the top 50 fantasy hockey players. Essentially, the Big Board is a cheat sheet designed for a fantasy owner who is planning to participate in a draft today. Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Hockey default scoring settings are used as the baseline for the Big Board, which is updated on a weekly basis.

Sounding Board
Keep your eye on Ryan Whitney of Pittsburgh. He'll be making an appearance on your Big Board soon. He's on a power play unit with Crosby and Malkin. He could get point/game production with PIMs to go with it. I'm expecting him to be a top 10 DEF this year. – Bruce, Shakopee, MN

Romig, where is my boy Thomas Vanek? The guy is legit, and has top 20 talent/numbers. I can understand not putting him in the top 50 (yet), but how 'bout some bubble love? – Badadio, Detroit, MI

What else does Henrik Sedin have to do to prove he deserves a Big Board spot? He has more goals and assists than Joe Thornton! Not to mention a plus-7. Quit putting the big name players up there that haven't produced and start putting up the names that deserve to be there! – Ron, Marysville, MI
