Bickell, Blackhawks agree on four-year deal

Bryan Bickell had a breakout season for the Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks and on Sunday, the powerful forward cashed in on his success of this past postseason.

The Chicago Tribune reported that the Blackhawks and Bickell agreed on a four-year deal worth $16 million. In 23 postseason games, the 27-year-old The 27-year-old compiled 17 points on nine goals and eight assists.

Bickell, according to the Tribune, said recently he would consider taking a hometown discount to remain a Blackhawk.

"Obviously, I think we want him and he wants to be here, so that's why I've always said I feel good that we're going to get it done," general manager Stan Bowman said.
