Bengals make it official on Domata Peko extension
The Cincinnati Bengals made it official, announcing their two-year contract extension for defensive tackle Domata Peko.
He's now under contract through 2016.
Peko is a 6-foot-3, 322-pound former Bengals fourth-round pick from Michigan State.
Heading into his ninth NFL season, Peko started every game last year at nose tackle and had 72 tackles and a career-high three sacks.
“Domata has been a significant and productive player for our defense for many years now, and we are excited to extend his time here even longer,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said in a statement. “He is a leader among our veterans and a mentor for our younger players, and securing his future as a Bengal through the next three seasons is another positive step in continuing to improve our team.”
