Bears add four players

The Chicago Bears signed wide receiver Demetrius Fields, defensive tackle Corvey Irvin and defensive tackle Christian Tupou and agreed to terms with cornerback Maurice Jones, the team announced Monday.

All four had tryouts during the Bears minicamp this past weekend.

The Bears released linebacker Dom DeCicco and cornerback LeQuan Lewis.

Fields is a rookie out of Northwestern who had 114 receptions for 1,203 yards and seven touchdowns in 52 career games.

Irvin has appeared in 18 games over three seasons with the Carolina Panthers (2010), Jacksonville Jaguars (2011) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2012) after being selected by Carolina in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Tupou is a first-year player out of USC who went undrafted and unsigned in 2012.

Jones is a rookie out of Temple University who played in 46 games with 12 starts over four seasons.
