Kluber lost his first three starts, when the Indians only scored a combined three runs. He got plenty of run support on Saturday as Cleveland reached double digits for the first time this season. He struck out 10, with Justin Upton fanning in all three of his at-bats against the 2014 American League Cy Young Award winner. Nationals 2, Twins 0 Tanner Roark struck out a career-high 15 batters in seven innings and Ryan Zimmerman drove in two runs in the first as the Washington Nationals beat the Minnesota Twins 2-0. Yankees 3, Rays 2 Brett Gardner homered with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the New York Yankees a dramatic 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. New York quickly reached two out in the ninth but won the game when Gardner drove a 3-and-1 fastball from Erasmo Ramirez (3-1) into the second deck in right field. Phillies 10, Brewers 6 Maikel Franco homered for the third time in two games and drove in four runs to push the Philadelphia Phillies past the Milwaukee Brewers for a 10-6 victory Saturday evening at Miller Park. Franco had snapped out of a 3-for-29 funk Friday night with a three-hit effort that included a pair of home runs. He kept it going Saturday with a first-inning single then gave the Phillies their first lead of the day with a three-run home run in the fourth and added an insurance run with an RBI single in the sixth. Dodgers 4, Rockies 1 Kenta Maeda pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings and A.J. Both homers were off former Cardinals reliever Carlos Villanueva. Giants 7, Marlins 2 Jake Peavy helped his own cause with a two-run single while limiting the Miami Marlins to two runs in seven innings Saturday night, lifting the San Francisco Giants to a 7-2 victory. Matt Duffy had three hits, including two off Marlins starter Jose Fernandez, helping the Giants rebound from a four-game home sweep at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks with a second consecutive win over the Marlins. Angels 4, Mariners 2 Felix Hernandez shook off flu-like symptoms that postponed his start for a day and took the mound against the Los Angeles Angels Saturday night. But it was the Angels' offense that lost some of its pallor. Cliff Pennington and Mike Trout hit home runs off Hernandez as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Seattle Mariners 4-2 at Angel Stadium.
