Andre Drummond scores 20, Pistons beat Pacers

Greg Monroe put up his ninth double-double this season, scoring 19 points and registering 15 rebounds, to help the Detroit Pistons take down the Indiana Pacers, 119-109. The Pistons played an efficient game offensively, shooting 47-86 (54.7%) from the field and turning it over just nine times. This is only the third win for Detroit (6-23) in its last 10 games.

Monroe shot 7-11, in a quality performance offensively. Other key performers for Detroit were Andre Drummond with 20 points and six rebounds, D.J. Augustin with 14 points and eight assists, and Brandon Jennings with 14 points and 10 assists. On 5-10 shooting from the field and 9-10 from the free throw line, Roy Hibbert scored 19 points for Indiana in the loss. Luis Scola added 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Pistons paired an eFG% of 60.5% with a TO% of just 9.1%. On the year, when exceeding 55% in eFG% and losing the ball on fewer than 10% of their possessions, they are 1-0. The Pacers, conversely, are winless (0-2) when their opponents hit those numbers.

Coming up, the Pistons battle the Cleveland Cavaliers, who are 18-11 on the season. The Pacers match up with the Brooklyn Nets, currently sitting at 13-15 this year.
