After his first Washington series, Josh Norman was arguing on sideline

The Washington Redskins’ defense had played all of three snaps with cornerback Josh Norman when ESPN’s cameras found Norman getting into an argument on the sideline.

Norman and safety David Bruton — also in his first game with the Redskins after many years with the Denver Broncos — had a heated exchange on the sideline. Veteran defensive back DeAngelo Hall had to step in between them and he seemed to be gesturing to Bruton to walk away.

And that came after a three-and-out against the Pittsburgh Steelers. There might have been a barroom brawl had the Steelers scored a touchdown on that first drive.

Bruton was known as a mild-mannered player in Denver. Norman, of course, is not known for being a wallflower. Ask Odell Beckham.

We don’t know what caused the problem on the sideline, and Norman could have been an innocent bystander because Bruton was irrationally angry over something. Who knows. And sideline arguments happen all the time in the NFL; it’s probably not a big deal whatsoever.

But it probably didn’t surprise anyone too much to turn on “Monday Night Football” and see Norman mixing it up right away, even with his own teammate.
