Ball Don't Lie - NBA

According to the game recap, LeBron James struggled Saturday versus the Bucks, going without a field goal for more than 15 minutes in the second half before he led Cleveland on a decisive 11-2 run. The King finished with 32 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a decisive 97-85 road win. Yes, quite the — ahem — struggle.

Luckily, LeBron made up for it on the defensive end of the floor, blocking a Ramon Sessions first half lay-up into the second row of Section 201, almost knocking out a security guard in the process.

And please don't start with that "a better fundamental player would have kept that ball inbounds" nonsense. It was the second quarter against the Bucks. That "bonus" possession really wasn't needed.

a better fundamental player probably couldn't have made that play, at all.
he probably would've tried scampering back and taking the charge, only to be called for a block.
i'm not saying that lebron shouldn't be fundamental - he should be - but let's be honest, the fundamentals are thrown out the window when talking about physical freaks.

[Censored] it. I say swat it out. Gives your D a chance to get set, ensures that nobody on the other team gets it right at the basket ready to score. Unless you swat down toward the other end of the court, the safest play is to get that [censored] out of your house.

I agree with the first poster. And I also have a question. Are you allowed to just grab the ball out of the air and keep it, if it's still on the way up? Cuz it looks like he could have done just that. And would that count as a steal or a block or both? Haha. He is a freak!

Uh yeah I agree with the fact that the ball was salvageable, all he did was throw a posession away. Yes on point it looked great, but isn't the point of the game to get the ball and keep it in play? That play should not even be recognized due to Lebrons stupidity in not keeping the ball. Amazing how stupid fans are. I love the block, but block it to your man, just plain dumb.

Swatting it out allows you to get your D set and it sends a message that nobody's gonna score on you. I'm definitely not a fan of the Cleveland LeBrontourage, but definitely a nice play by The Protected One.

NBA players don't take messages. Smart players will come back the very next play and do what they do that usually works. Otherwise there would be no point in taking it to the hole against the Magic. Oh, and "a better fundamental player would have kept that ball inbounds"

No comment for the block, I think we can all agree that it was great, but umm.... baller, yeah you. ...fakazulu, and oh, I don't know.. just everyone else between his/her name and yours, knows that it's common sense to try to keep the ball inbounds, ususally for a quick and easy bucket.
At the same time, knocking it out grants your defense some time to set and everybody to get to where they're supposed to be. Plus, it gets the blood pumping! So, yeah. I'm a fan of killing that murthaf***a everytime, when possible, lol. But, there's no need to call anybody names. Especially when they're right, or in fakazulu's case (most likely), just joking.

What the hell is "he made it look like a triangle!" supposed to mean? And (not in this video) the co-commentator needs to stop saying "The L-Train" like southerners say "y'all."

never keep that ball in bounds...you have to swat that ball as hard as humanly possible in order to humiliate and completely embarrass the other team, in their own house. yes lebron could of caught the ball and ran down the court and dunked on charlie villaneuva's ghoulish looking face if that was his means of rashing on the bucks. however, i believe sending ramon sessions shot, as well as hopes and aspirations, directly into the 14th row was following proper procedure of the milwaukee bucks beatdown manual

If Lebron grabbed the ball he would have to throw it to a teammate while spinning and make sure not to turn it over. I think that a block was a good idea because not only is a grab very tough, but a block gets the crowd fired up and thats very important in a home game. He might have risked it away but not at home.
