Kevin Martin owes Mikki Moore his money back

We showed you this clip of Kevin Martin chopping up Rudy Fernandez's ankles and dunking in Blazer traffic yesterday, but there's a little more to the story. Melody Gutirrez of the Sacramento Bee (via FanHouse, via Sactown Royalty, via Internet) explains:

Martin also won a $1,000 bet with teammate Mikki Moore on who would be the first to dunk on Oden. "I had to go get my money," Martin said.

Asked if he knew Oden and Aldridge would be there when he crossed over Fernandez, Martin laughed. "Them guys have 7-(foot)-5 wingspans, so even if you don't think they are going to be there, they are going to be there," Martin said. "I'm glad they were there. I got a little richer today."

While the bounty bet is both hilarious and ingenious, I have a little problem with it in this case. Speed Racer didn't dunk ON any Blazer, let alone Old Greg. Watch it again and keep an eye on how late Oden gets to the rim to challenge the slam. That's not dunking on him. That's dunking near him. Also, I don't know about you, but I expect at least some body contact with my "You Got Dunked On" dunks.

So, Kevin, I suggest you give Moore his money back. He has too many snakes to feed.

    I see Skeets has let the Blazers fans get to him. New basketball rule: if you have to explain why you didn't get dunked on, you got dunked on.

    You guys are so wrong. Oden came in help side and only really appeared a split second before the dunk. It was nice, but nowhere near dunking on him. Silly.

    Blah blah blah...let see if Martin can do that again during the regular season. I will bet anyone $1000 9 out of 10 times Martin will get reject if he drive in the lane like that again.

    skeets is right..oden didn't get dunked on..getting dunked on is like kobe on dwight or vince on mourning..and youre allowed to take three steps as long as that third step is when you jump..some of you guys need to read a book

    Please don't refer to Kevin Martin as "K-MART" any more. That's just stupid. Kenyon Martin is still playing in the league. He is the one and only K-Mart. Think of something more original and not already taken.

    I say... If you're in the Poster.. You got dunked on! Don't come in late and take a swing at the ball like that.. It's best to cover up and take your lumps.! Vince Carter took Dunking to the next level when he dunked over that 7 foot frenchmen..

    Dunking on implies overpowering a defender to slam it down, not dunking before the defender can get to you. I refer you to VC over that French dude in the Olympics... clearly two very different things.
    Nice play by Martin but he's gonna have to do a little more than that to beat the man-child.

    I agree with J.E. Skeets. This is pathetic if Martin thinks this is dunking on someone. I hope this gets to G.O. and Aldridge, because this will not happen again period. However, the cross over on Fernandez was money. On another note, how many times has Kevin Martin been dunked on? Does he play D?

    There is still talks about John Starks dunking on the whole Chicago Bulls team, including MJ, so Oden definately got dunk on by K-Mart.

    ..Rudy Fernandez DUNKED on Dwight Howard. Kevin made a nice move to the basket.. nothin' more, nothin' less. And once Big Greg O. finds out about this.. I want to see a round II.
