Tigers top pitching prospect Jackson Jobe heads to IL with hamstring injury

Jackson Jobe, the Tigers' top pitching prospect, was placed on the seven-day injured list Thursday by Double-A Erie with a left hamstring strain. The right-handed Jobe, 21, appeared to suffer the injury in Wednesday's start at Bowie, which was cut short to three hitless innings. Jobe, who is No. 12 overall in Baseball America's updated top 100 prospects, is off to a strong start with the SeaWolves, compiling a 2.16 ERA and 1.02 WHIP in five starts covering 16.2 innings.
