Rays put OF Lowe on 10-day IL for oblique strain

The Tampa Bay Rays placed outfielder Josh Lowe on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right oblique strain. The move is retroactive to Thursday, one day after Lowe exited his team's game against the Boston Red Sox. Lowe took an awkward swing while striking out against Boston starter Brayan Bello in the first inning. Lowe, 26, reportedly has been dealing with injuries to his right hamstring, right oblique and left hip since spring training.
