Las Vegas sportsbooks will hang Week 1 odds but expect little action upon 2024 NFL schedule release
Some might believe the release of the NFL schedule, in Las Vegas, mirrors dipping raw steaks into a pool of piranha or tuna boils viewed when deep-sea fishing. Many league observers anticipated that the NFL would release its 2024-25 schedule on Thursday, May 9, but the league told teams this week to expect the schedule to be unveiled on Wednesday, May 15. At the Westgate SuperBook, they're preparing to release Week 1 odds moments after the games and times are revealed. According to SuperBook executive vice president Jay Kornegay, though, the banter that follows the debut of those numbers will have much more fervor than the action of people actually whipping out their wallets to conduct business.
