Kevin Durant gets airborne attempting to get around DeAndre Jordan screen

A day after delivering an emotional acceptance speech upon receiving his first NBA MVP award, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant wasn't done delivering the goods. Durant led OKC to a 112-101 victory in Game 2 against the Los Angeles Clippers with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists to even their second-round series at 1-1. But that wasn't all. No, KD offered up a flop for the ages.

@cjzero dubbed the foolish maneuver the "heliflopter" on Twitter. During the second quarter, Durant tried to draw a foul on DeAndre Jordan by getting airborne on a screen by the Clippers center. And while we appreciate the four-time NBA scoring champ trying out his thespian skills in "Thunderstruck" — this was some bad acting.

The Captain goes deep

Moving to baseball, New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter hit his first home run of the season and snapped a 161 at-bat homerless drought by going deep against the Los Angeles Angels. The long ball helped New York win 9-2.

Spinning and winning

Finally, Evgeni Malkin scored a spinning, no-look backhand goal as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the New York Rangers 4-2 to take a 3-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference semis.
