How injuries are dashing fantasy football championship dreams

This is how a lot of fantasy owners are feeling these days. Major injuries are riddling rosters and causing chaos on millions of waiver wires around the globe.

The fantasy owner’s dream of hoisting a converted bowling trophy with “Harbaugh’s Heroes” engraved next to 2014, is being dashed by a golf cart carrying away our first round selections. Can’t anyone finish a game?

The injury pool has a new, impressive group of belly floppers after Week 2: Jamaal Charles, RG3, A.J. Green, Knowshon Moreno, DeSean Jackson, Ryan Mathews and Vernon Davis – almost all of whom are must starts every fantasy week.

If this keeps up, we’ll be forced to spend next year’s draft stockpiling our handcuff’s handcuff’s handcuff, or draft a free agent. (I’m high on Daniel Thomas all of a sudden).

Is it HGH? Are players too soft? Are the helmets getting harder as they crash into our fantasy star’s fragile right ankle? Whatever it is, the hits just keep on coming.

Back to the waiver wire …
