It was all over but the celebrating. Once Roger Federer blew a 40-0 lead in the first game of the fourth set, Rafael Nadal's sixth French Open championship was an inevitability. Frankly, it may have been from the moment Nadal held off a set point in the first before taking the set 7-5.

Nadal was as gracious in victory as Federer was in defeat. It was Rafa's 18th win over his rival in 25 career meetings.
