U.S. Open, Day 7: Serena rolls over Sloane Stephens as Murray and Djokovic advance

• The much anticipated match between Serena Williams and Sloane Stephens was a little deflating as Williams rolled the 20-year-old American 6-4, 6-1. The two had split the two previous matches they'd faced, but Williams got the better of Stephens and is in to the quarterfinals.

• Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, two of the favorites of the men's draw, rolled in their third round matches, each winning in straight sets. Both players have dropped just a single set combined and will meet in the semifinals if they can make it that far.

No. 3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska was looking to make her fourth quarterfinals this year but it was Ekaterina Makarova who upset her in straight sets. Radwanksa committed 27 unforced errors and never looked comfortable as she failed to make the quarterfinals for the eighth straight time at the U.S. Open.

Lleyton Hewitt continued his incredible run at the U.S. Open with a third round win over Evgeny Donskoy.

Monday marks a day that includes Victoria Azarenka, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and the Bryan brothers trying to make another step towards the calendar Grand Slam.
