Notts County goalkeeper kicked in head by teammate during Galatasaray friendly

Galatasaray's pre-season tour of lower-league English clubs continued on Tuesday night as they entertained 900 flare-happy traveling fans and thousands of empty seats at Notts County's Meadow Lane.

The League One side took the lead in the second half through Enoch Showunmi, but the Nigerian's effort was canceled out when Burak Yilmaz slotted home for the Tukrish Super Lig champs.

Venting his frustration at the equalizer, Magpies defender Alan Sheehan attempted to kick the ball away as it bounced out of the net — like an angry player might do in a game that actually meant something. Instead, however, Sheehan managed to kick teammate Bartosz Białkowski square in the face, resulting in a seven-minute stoppage and the Polish keeper's eventual exit from the field on a stretcher.
