Neymar scores from 45 yards and embarrasses Diego Lugano in Leo Messi charity match

While organizers of the Los Angeles leg of the canceled 'Messi and Friends' exhibition match were busy explaining how the titular Argentinean was "defrauding American citizens" on Tuesday evening, the tour hit the Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru.

Messi's team of friends — which included the likes of Dani Alves, Eric Abidal, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Javier Mascherano — took on a World XI captained by Neymar, pitting the current and future Barcelona stars against one another.

The score finished 8-5 to Messi's team, but his young Brazilian counterpart scored an impressive late consolation from 45 yards, making up for the fact that he missed a penalty in the first half.

Neymar also displayed some outrageous showboating in a one-on-one situation with PSG's Diego Lugano...

Prior to Uruguay's Confederations Cup meeting with Brazil last week, Lugano criticized Neymar's diving habits, provoking an angry response from the Brazilian Football Confederation when he said "He is very apt at pretending to be fouled." He is also very apt at running rings around Uruguayan defenders who insult him, it would appear.
