Mario Balotelli scores audacious winner from distance against Bologna

Mario Balotelli broke a scoreless deadlock in the 86th minute of Milan's match against Bologna with a stunning blast from distance. It was a bleak match — the only notable moment before Balotelli's goal came in the first half when the referee was bloodied by a ball to the mouth — but Mario took everyone by surprise with a shot that sailed over the outstretched keeper and into the top of the net.

Not many players would have the gall to attempt that shot and even fewer would actually score with it. But that's Mario being Mario.

With that goal, Milan won 1-0 and gained a bit of confidence after a loss to Napoli that left Balotelli in tears of frustration. Surely he's feeling a little better now, even if Adil Rami needed to help him smile.
