DTotD: Thiago Motta sent off for planting his studs in Frederic Sammaritano’s Achillies

PSG midfielder Thiago Motta was shown a straight red card for a nasty tackle from behind on Ajaccio's Frederic Sammaritano. The challenge occurred in the 45th minute of Friday's Ligue 1 match and could've caused very serious damage to Sammaritano as Motta jammed the studs of his boot into his Achilles.

Though Zlatan Ibrahimovic tried to defend his teammate to the referee, Motta was shown a straight red card and Sammaritano was forced out of the match.
