DTotD: Portugal’s Ricardo Quaresma kicks teammate for tripping him in training

Despite being the first to seal their place in the Euro 2012 semifinals, things got a little testy during Portugal's training session on Saturday and no, it had nothing to do with Cristiano Ronaldo's hair gel or Victoria's Secret models' opinions of it.

At one point during the session, defender Miguel Lopes tripped Ricardo Quaresma, who responded by unleashing his inner Zlatan and kicked Lopes in the leg. Teammate Ricardo Costa then quickly stepped in and moved Quaresma away. But before you start thinking Portugal will turn into France, Costa would like to assure you that the matter was no big deal.

From the AFP:

"It's just normal things that happen in training," Costa said at a news conference later. "Things got a bit heated between two players. We're pumped up, we always want to win and sometimes small things happen.

"Everything's sorted now. We all want to play (in the semi-final) and sometimes stuff happens."

Other stuff that might now happen: Ricardo Quaresma putting Lopes' hand in warm water while he sleeps so he develops a complex about bed wetting.

This has been the Dirty Tackle of the Day: a chronicling of unfortunate events.
