Alex Ferguson reveals preference for strangling players instead of punching them

According to The Times, Man City manager Roberto Mancini told Mario Balotelli, the one player who has given him more headaches than all others combined, that "if you played with me 10 years ago I give to you every day maybe one punch in your head!" But when the subject was raised with Man United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, he revealed a fundamental difference in approach that just might be why his side leads Mancini's by five points in the table.

From the Telegraph:

"Strangle them maybe," [Ferguson] said, when asked if he had ever felt like punching someone.

"Players can frustrate you. But it is a difficult industry we are in."

Of course, Sir Alex was only joking. We all know he prefers to kick boots into their faces.
