Aaron Lennon and Gareth Bale’s face scored an own goal

Gareth Bale had something of a renaissance man's hat trick in Spurs' 2-1 win against Liverpool, setting up Aaron Lennon's 7th-minute goal, scoring with a brilliant free kick (video here) and then having Lennon blast a clearance off his face for an own goal.

A pair of headers off a Liverpool corner kick put the ball at Lennon's feet just in front of his side's goal line in the 72nd minute, but his instinctive clearance went off Bale's face from point-blank range and back into the net (video here). That made it 2-1 and put Bale on his back. It also produced the perfectly timed photograph above.

Forget Zlatan and Philippe Mexes' overhead kicks, this should be the early frontrunner for next year's Puskas award.
