Stop the presses, an Olympic athlete came down with a cold!

The Swedish must take the biathlon extremely seriously. Otherwise, why would this be national news?:

Swedish biathlon athlete Helena Jonsson, one of the country's top medal hopes at the upcoming Winter Olympics in Vancouver, has come down with a cold and a sore throat, reports said Monday.

Thanks for the heads up, Sweden. I'm sure you and your government-funded healthcare can thwart this menace before things get out of hand. And I'd put my money on your world champion athlete being able to shake a cold in three weeks.

We can only hope that fellow biathletes Bjorn Ferry and Anna Carin Olofsson-Zidek don't suffer such serious maladies. An itchy elbow or runny nose and the Swedish media is pulling weeks of all-nighters.
