With his team on a four-minute power play, Dallas Stars defenseman Trevor Daley was ready and waiting for a pass, ready to snap the puck at Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford.

Ales Hemsky saw him and fed the puck from near the left post, attempting to thread it through traffic. Alas, it deflected off Duncan Keith’s stick, and it looked like Daley wouldn’t be able to handle the pass.

Unless, of course, he knocked it out of the air with his arm and then, in one motion, slapped it past Crawford.

Nifty little bit of hand-eye coordination in the Stars' 3-2 shootout loss. And a little luck, of course.

It was Daley’s first of the season. Given his power-play time (5:42) and how great the Stars’ power play could be this season, it won’t be his last.
