Watch Matt Hackett’s glove rob Loui Eriksson of sure goal (VIDEO)

With under a minute left in the opening period of tonight's Wild-Stars game, and Dallas holding a 2-1 lead, Loui Eriksson had a goal-scoring opportunity he wishes he had a second chance at.

After picking the puck from Dany Heatley's stick, he dumped it off to Ray Whitney, who then gave it back to Eriksson. After going by Heatley, Eriksson deked around Wild netminder Matt Hackett with nothing but open net in front of him. Putting the puck back on his forehand, Eriksson was about to put home his 10th of the year, but Hackett had other ideas.

No one inside American Airlines Center other than Hackett knew it was a save. Not the announcers. Not the crowd behind the Minnesota net. Probably not even Eriksson.

It would have been a great answer to Devin Setoguchi's goal 28 seconds prior, but the Stars would eventually take the two points with a 5-3 victory and snap Minnesota's 7-game win streak.
