P.K. Subban meets baby accidentally hit by puck (Photo)

At the end of the Montreal Canadiens’ annual open practice at Bell Centre last month, players tossed pucks to fans in the crowd. Not an uncommon sight to see at hockey games or open practices.

Unfortuntely one of the pucks tossed by P.K. Subban hit a one-month-old infant. Valerie Meloche, the child's mother, wrote on Facebook that her daughter suffered a concussion and spent the night at Montreal Children’s Hospital, the same hospital that the Canadiens defenseman pledged $10 million to in September.

After Tuesday night’s win over the Dallas Stars, Subban got to meet young Beatrice for the first time since the incident after her family was invited to the game.

The meeting was captured by Sean Farrell of NHL.com:

Following the freak accident, the Canadiens said they will review what happened and see if there are changes to be made.

“Let’s put it this way, whenever something like this happens, you always have to look at … what you want to do," said Donald Beauchamp, the teams' VP of communications, to the Montreal Gazette last month. "It’s too early to tell, but our people are very aware. … We’re very sensitive to this.”
