Ovechkin shows Karlsson what he thinks of his Norris trophies with goal 501 (Video)

The Washington Capitals had the game fully in hand up 6-1 on the Ottawa Senators. With the giant monkey of his 500th goal off his back, Alex Ovechkin could have taken the rest of the night off and let his teammates mop up the rest.

Instead, Ovi decides to score goal number 501 that is even more impressive than the milestone one he scored minutes earlier.

Like the Mack Truck he is, Ovechkin drives up the ice and dekes around two-time Norris Trophy winner (and perpetually damp-haired) Erik Karlsson before sending the puck past Andrew Hammond:

BEAST.

With career goal number 501, Ovi is only 66 points away from hitting the 1,000-point mark on his career. The guy is only 30-years-old. Plenty of career to go.
