Finnish goalie gets ejected after slashing opponent in face (Video)
With Finnish side TPS down 1-0 in the second period of a Wednesday Liiga game, goaltender Teemu Lassila took exception to Assat forward Josh Gratton collding with him behind the net. He was so upset that he decided to slash Gratton in the face.
That kind of thing is typically frowned upon in hockey, and the officials handed Lassila a five-minute major and game misconduct.
Gratton, who was recently suspended for a staged fight, was bloodied, but remained in the game.
Lassila will surely be suspended by the league, allowing him to get a headstart on what should be a decent-sized vacation.
Here's Gratton post-game:

UPDATE: Lassila has been suspended for seven games.
