Derek Dorsett and Lauri Korpikoski go for hilarious spin (GIF)

The Vancouver Canucks and the Edmonton Oilers tangled on Sunday night – literally!

(I know…)

Canucks forward Derek Dorsett had his stick grabbed by Korpikoski as the Oilers forward slid under him. The two then went into a propeller spin near the faceoff circle, with Dorsett finishing with a head scissors as they tumbled to the ice.

Nice work out of Dorsett, as this is one of the more inventive ways to break a stick hold. Inventive, and completely dizzying. Although also a bit hypnotizing, to be honest. And an excuse for the Oilers Twitter to make a great BLADES OF GLORY reference.

Korpikoski would get the last laugh, scoring in the 3-on-3 overtime to give Edmonton the 2-1 over Vancouver.
