Corey Crawford’s pads make like his Stadium Series mask and disappear

Corey Crawford enjoyed a 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Saturday night's Stadium Series game at Soldier Field. Unfortunately for the Chicago Blackhawks goaltender, he enjoyed it without being able to use a special mask he had painted for the occasion.

Now, Crawford's usual pads, shown above, have gone missing as well.

After practice on Monday, Crawford revealed that the reason he was wearing his Stadium Series pads was because someone stole his usual ones during the outdoor game against the Penguins.

From the Sun-Times:

“This is crazy,” he said. “I’ve never seen this before. I’ve never heard of this before. It’s crazy, man. The trainers are all stunned that it happened. Honestly, I told every guy and some of the guys didn’t believe it happened.”

Crawford never received the mask he was going to wear at Soldier Field, but his pads have been with him this entire season, so someone with access to the Blackhawks dressing room at the stadium has to be the culprit.

Again, we ask: has Chris Pronger been spotted in and around Chicago in the past week?
