The Houston Texans' season has been reduced to emotions on over-boil.

At the end of Sunday's 28-23 loss to the Oakland Raiders — the Texans' eighth defeat in a row — wide receiver Andre Johnson and quarterback Matt Schaub had to be separated in a fit of anger after a failed fourth-down conversion. Schaub replaced starter Case Keenum  earlier in the game and led the Texans down the field with a chance to win, but Schaub's pass in traffic to Johnson was knocked down with little chance to be caught by his receiver.

But the Johnson-Schaub emotions already were on a serious simmer, apparently, prior to that.

Even though the two players were staring lasers at each others, Schaub and Kubiak dismissed the exchange.

Johnson, who walked to the locker room while there was still time left in the game, later concurred.

Still, the exchange — and the strange decision to bench Keenum, who was playing relatively well at the time — seemed to sum up all the frustrations of the Texans' season in one snapshot. J.J. Watt didn't hold back when asked how he was feeling.
