Was LSU offside on Texas A&M's final play? (GIFs)

Trailing 23-17 in the fourth quarter on Thursday, Texas A&M got the ball with 2:07 left to potentially score a game-winning touchdown.

On 3rd-and-10 from A&M's 49, Texas A&M quarterback Kyle Allen apparently thought he had a free play because of LSU DL Sione Teuhema's movement towards the offensive line. So Allen threw the ball deep and was intercepted by LSU's Jalen Collins.

However, no flag was thrown. Teuhema's helmet looks like it was offside, though it's close.

Allen was stunned.

LSU simply had to run the clock out for the win. The loss drops Texas A&M to 7-5 and 3-5 in the SEC and means the Aggies will finish sixth in the SEC West. LSU improved to 8-4 and at 4-4 in the SEC, could finish as high as a tie for third depending on what happens Saturday with Auburn and Ole Miss.
