Urban Meyer’s daughter has issues with his new job

I know I'm a little late to the dance on this one, but I thought it was worthy of a post.

So, remember when former Florida coach Urban Meyer resigned from the Gators last December because he said he wanted to spend more time with his family? He wanted to spend more time with his daughters, watch them play sports and be the normal dad they always wanted.

Well, apparently that plan hasn't worked out so well.

Shortly after Meyer left Florida, he became a college football analyst for ESPN and has spent the bulk of the spring on ESPN's "College Football Live," traveling to various schools and discussing their spring football workouts.

It's not exactly the retirement program his daughter Gisela was promised and she let her dad know via Twitter last Wednesday night.

"Dear @espn… can I please have my father back?? Tinks"

Gigi's parents must have gotten wind of the tweet because she issued not one, but two backtracks:

"I may have said the wrong. My dad has been spending more time with the fam. There's just a short period of time where he travels. But its ok"

And:

"I just wanna say my quote to @espn was a joke. I have great respect for them and my dad loves his job."

All three tweets have since been taken down.

Troubled tweets are nothing new for the Meyer daughters. A couple weeks ago, Nicki Meyer tweeted: "Stop txting me abt my dad. HE IS NOT repeat NOT, GOING TO OHIO STATE. Thanks," after rumors started floating around about her father replacing Jim Tressel.

However, as more and more news continues to come out about improprieties at Ohio State, more tweets from the Meyer girls might be on the way.
