Today’s troll: Michigan fans put up ‘Beat the Irish’ banner at Notre Dame Stadium

It seems there was some harmless, fun, old-school trolling by some Michigan fans at Notre Dame Stadium overnight.

Fighting Irish fans might not be so amused.

Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Michigan Daily said on Twitter that he got an email claiming Michigan fans invaded Notre Dame and placed a banner on the stadium, facing Touchdown Jesus.

Indeed, the picture he attached shows a blue "Beat the Irish" banner hung at the Knute Rockne Gate at the stadium with the Michigan "M" on it. This seems quaint in a steal-the-mascot kind of way (not that we condone stealing mascots). Better, at least, than coming on the field and yelling at the opposing coach before running away.
