Texas A&M assistant says Kevin Sumlin is ‘a little bit like Justin Bieber’ when he goes out in Houston
Bieber Fever, meet the Sumlin Swooning.
Texas A&M defensive coordinator Mark Snyder and coach Kevin Sumlin went to Drake's concert in Houston with their daughters. And while we know that Johnny Manziel draws a crowd wherever he goes, so does Sumlin, apparently. That's what happens when you're successful at Houston and immediately successful at Texas A&M.
“It was like any dad going to a concert with his daughters, but it was a little different going with coach Sumlin. He’s a little bit like Justin Bieber when he goes out in Houston,” Snyder said, chuckling. “He’s going to kill me for saying that.”
Drake and Manziel are buds -- OK, they're a duo -- so it was natural that the Texas A&M coaching staff would be fans too, right?
Sumlin has been mentioned as a candidate for the USC job after this season. Crazy as it may sound, if Sumlin's like Bieber in Houston, he could actually be more anonymous in Los Angeles. You can't say that too many people move to L.A. for a position that may be less recognizable locally.
