Report: LSU's Derrius Guice taken to hospital

LSU incoming freshman running back Derrius Guice was reportedly taken to the hospital from LSU's practice facility on Wednesday afternoon.

WBRZ first reported that a player had been taken to the hospital and an LSU spokesperson confirmed than an unidentified 18-year-old had been transported. According to the Baton Rouge Advocate, the player was Guice.

The Advocate cited two sources that said "the hospitalization may be a precautionary measure." Per NOLA.com, Guice passed out.

Guice was a five-star recruit in the class of 2015. He was the No. 2 player in the state of Louisiana and the No. 2 running back in the country while being the No. 15 recruit overall according to Rivals. He could compete for playing time behind Leonard Fournette for the Tigers. Fournette was the top running back in the country and the No. 4 recruit overall in 2014.
