NIU WR Aregeros Turner catches pass while doing backflip (Video)

We’ve seen the “catch a football while doing a backflip” trick before, but it’s still impressive every time. Northern Illinois wide receiver Aregeros Turner is the latest to put his combination of athleticism and concentration on display.

After catching only eight passes as a freshman, the 5-foot-11, 173-pound Turner established himself as one of the Huskies’ most reliable pass-catchers late in 2014.

Through the team’s first eight games, Turner had just 13 catches. But in NIU’s final six games, Turner had 24 catches and finished with a total of 37 catches for 398 yards and two touchdowns on the season. He also scored two rushing touchdowns.

With Huskies leading receiver Da’Ron Brown (68 catches, 1,065 yards) out of the picture due to graduation, Turner should be one to watch for NIU in 2015.
