LSU running back Jeremy Hill’s legal troubles continue with another arrest

One of the brightest spots in the LSU offense over the second half of last season was freshman running back Jeremy Hill.

Hill was fantastic late in the season. The question with him was never talent, but off-field issues. He was in LSU's 2011 recruiting class but his arrival was delayed a year after he was arrested on charges of oral sexual battery.

And according multiple reports, Hill is back in legal trouble.

Reports including the New Orleans Times-Picayune and Baton Rouge Advocate said Hill was arrested on simple battery early Saturday morning. He was released on $500 bond.

UPDATE: On Monday, LSU suspended Hill indefinitely:

According to some details from the Advocate's Matthew Harris, this incident could have some long-term implications.

Hill didn't play much in the first six games of the season but in LSU's final seven games, he was an effective workhorse. In those seven games he rushed for 100 yards four times and had 10 touchdowns. He had 124 yards and two touchdowns against Clemson in the Chick-fil-A Bowl to end the year.

Depending how this case turns out, it could be bad news for Hill and LSU.
