Kentucky starting safety Ashely Lowery hospitalized after car accident

Ashely Lowery, a starting safety for Kentucky as a sophomore last year, was involved in a car accident according to Rivals.com and other reports.

According to CatsIllustrated.com, the accident happened in Georgia, which is Lowery's home state. The exact details of his condition are unknown. Teammates are asking for prayers for Lowery.

Kyle Tucker of the Courier-Journal reported that Lowery crashed his 2006 Altima at 4 a.m., the car overturned several times and he was thrown 100 feet.
