Tanner Lee is headed to the Big Ten.

Almost a month after announcing his intent to transfer from Tulane, the junior quarterback announced Saturday that he is headed to Nebraska.

Lee was the Green Wave’s starter the past two seasons, but opted to leave the program after Georgia Southern’s Willie Fritz (and his option offense) was brought in as head coach.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Lee combined for 3,601 yards, 23 touchdowns and 21 interceptions over the past two seasons at Tulane. He redshirted in 2013.

Lee will sit out the 2016 season due to NCAA transfer rules before becoming eligible in 2017. He told the Omaha World-Herald that he plans to finish the spring semester at Tulane before joining the Huskers in the summer. He also plans to petition the NCAA for a sixth season of eligibility in 2018.

Lee took an official visit to LSU earlier this month, but the Tigers never offered him a scholarship.
